Three years ago Annabelle Wright's father - Alaric Wright - went missing. He was searched for but never found...
Until now.
It was a warm August morning when Annabelle and her nanny, Prisila, went to the shops to buy the preparations for Annabelle's fifth birthday.
In on shop, Prisila let Annabelle go to the toy section so Annabelle left her.
While Annabelle played with the toys, a man about forty-three came and sat next to her.
Annabelle felt scared for a while. The man smelt like smoke and mold and his hair was long and shaggy.
But Annabelle smiled up at the man, he just stared at the shelved of toys.
After a few minutes the man picked up a stuffed Angel doll.
He looked at Annabelle carefully. That made her uncomfortable but she ignored the feeling and asked him what the doll was for.
Looking away, the man replied that it was for his baby-girl's birthday soon.
Annabelle grinned. She liked the idea that another girl also had a birthday coming up.
Annabelle told the man that it was the perfect gift. Then hearing her name she jumped up and left.
On the day of her birthday, Annabelle was unwrapping presents from all her friends. She got hair accessories, make-up, jewellery, a teddy bear and shoes. Opening the last present, a box wrapped in purple and green paper, she lifted the lid and started crying.
Jumping up, Annabelle ran out the house. Her mother shouted after her.
Across the road, Alaric waited for Annabelle, his precious baby. He had cleaned himself up a lot for this day; haircut, new clothes, shower and shaved.
Suddenly he heard a scream and as he looked up at the house he saw his little blonde-haired, blue-eyed angel run towards him...
Annabelle's mother, Gissele, followed Annabelle but she found her daughter in the arms of a man. A man she had loved for ten years.
Now Annabelle is happy and the angel-stuffed doll goes everywhere with her. Her mom and her dad are happily back together and Annabelle has both parents back!
